What I did do was spend a tonne of time and money learning about ads, about how customers think, and about selling my own company's services. I'm a creative at heart, so I put my love of good design into everything I built. Sure enough, I started to see results. Good Supply was born out of wanting to share that with other business owners. To show how a little bit of process and a few good systems can change the way a business runs, and give the owner time back to be with their family. What it cost me to learn this ## Three missed calls. One very expensive lesson. I spent two days on the tools in regional Victoria with barely any phone service. Every now and then I'd drive through a good patch and a handful of notifications would come through. Over those two days I missed a call from the same number three times. When I got back into coverage I called the number to find out how I could help. It was a tier 1 contractor trying to get my company onboarded and inducted for a major project. By the time I called back, they had two other companies lined up. What three missed calls cost$160,000 to $240,000About $20,000 a month in work, for eight to twelve months. Gone to whoever picked up. That's why every system we build gets back to people when you can't. What I believe ## Three things I'll tell you straight. Know the customer, not just the platform.Plenty of experts know how ad platforms work. That matters less than knowing how your customer thinks and how they decide who to call. Work with someone who understands your industry. Systems before staff.Times are tough, and not everyone can afford extra people for admin and sales. Truth is, with good systems in place you don't need those hires until later in the game. We don't do SEO.SEO is the long game. The very long game. Save the coin and double down on the ads that work and bring cash into the business today. Where I've been ## Years in construction taught me how a business really runs. I've spent years in construction service businesses, running my own and working in senior operations roles in others. Over that time I've studied business and process closely, and I've met a lot of different people running a lot of different operations. It's given me a good look at what makes a business run well, and what holds one back. Good Supply is a new agency, but it's built on all of that. My goal now is to take what I've learned and turn my attention to helping other people in their own businesses. The part of business I love most is the beginning. The excitement and the hype, the vision and mission sessions that run until 3am, working out the strategy before anything exists yet. I think it's awesome, and it's the energy I want to bring to yours. Outside work ## Faith, family and the Surf Coast. I'm based on the Surf Coast with my family, and my faith sits underneath everything I do. I'm a Christian, and being able to build and do business as one matters a great deal to me. It's a big part of what drives me to deliver a service that makes a real difference. I'd especially love to serve other Christian business owners, because when faithful entrepreneurs are doing well, we're all in a better position to keep serving the kingdom of God. It's also about my sons. My vision is that they grow up with the same passion to serve, and that they inspire the people around them to do the same. None of that changes who I'll work with.
